And so back to our new benches. The good news is that they are teak- that beautifully grained and textured hardwood. Teak’s natural oils make it the ideal timber to handle outdoor exposure (and also make it pest resistant).  The brutal Australian sun, wind and rain makes short work of most of timbers,  causing warping, cracking and drying out – but due to the nature of its composition Teak is wonderfully equipped to handle our tough environment - it’s no surprise this durable wood is used in the construction of boat decking.

Many years ago we ran a range similar to this which was at the time was a huge success, so we thought it about time to reintroduce our version of the classic Teak outdoor bench. With simple lines, sweet curves on its arms and generous seat space our 2012 version is already proving to be a hit (we introduced it just before Christmas).
